Manaslu Trek with Pokhara and chitwan-27 days


Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1327m) and transfer to hotel.
Upon your arrival, our representatives from Mountain Sun Valley Treks will come to pickup you on the airport and transfer you to hotel by the tourist car.

Day 2: Kathmandu Valley Tour.

Today you will have UNESCO world heritage sight-seeing. You will visit the famous world heritage sites around Kathmandu valley like Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath stupa, swyambhunath stupa, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar square, Basantapur Durbar square etc.

Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Soti-khola(700m) 8 hours  drive:
Your tour to Manaslu Circuit begins from Kathmandu. After having a hot breakfast, we will drive from Kathmandu to Soti-khola by our private jeep, enjoying the views of the hilly areas, terraces, fields, and rivers. Overnight at Teahouse in soti-khola.

Day 4: Trek from Soti Khola to Maccha Khola (900m) 6 hrs.
The next morning, you will enjoy the warm breakfast at the teahouse at Soti Khola while enjoying the scenic landscape. Then, you will start your trek of the day through the forest, colorful villages, clean streams, wonderful waterfalls and green valley until we reach Lapu Besi. After few hours of the trek, we will reach to Machha Khola and overnight at Teahouse in Maccha Khola
.
Day 5: Trek from Maccha Khola to Jagat( 1340m) 8 hrs.
The next day, from Machhakhola we follow a narrow trail that takes us to Tharo Khola and finally to Khorlabesi. After a few ascends and descends, we reach a popular hot-spring, Tatopani. We will spend some time here and can enjoy the natural sauna in the hot -spring and relieve all our tiredness and stress of the trek. We climb another ridge and cross the Budhi Gandaki on another suspension bridge. After this, we climb a staircase and then cross a landslide and a ridge to reach Doban. After crossing a suspension bridge, we again climb stone staircase then go down to the river and climb some stairs again to reach Thado Bharyang. Then we cross the west bank of Budhi Gandaki, climb over a ridge, walk along the river to reach the village of Jagat where we spend the night.

Day 6: Trek from Jagat to Phewa(1600m)6 hrs.
Today you will walk to Salleri and descend to Sirdibas village.The trail is beautiful with unique sculptures over the boulders on the river bank formed due to river water. Leaving the river bank, you proceed through forests of rhododendron, Himalayan pine and the overhanging rocks on the towering peaks. Finally, you will reach Pewa, the final destination of the day. Pewa has the best Dal Bhat in Nepa. In the evening, you can gather around the fireplace and share your experiences with your group. Overnight at teahouse.

Day 7: Trek from Pewa to Namrung (2630m) 6.5 hrs.
You will have your breakfast and start the trek of the day.you will walk across the bamboo forest to reach Deng. Moving further, you will cross a suspension bridge to climb to Rana and Bihi Phedi. On the trail, you can see White Faced monkeys visiting villages on the lookout for a free feed.The trail then proceeds to Ghap through several landslide zones.After about 1hr on the uneven trail, you will climb a zigzag from the river to the neat village of Namrung. The place has some of the best teashops, a restaurant, and rest houses on the trek. A local businessman worked for over a decade in Hong Kong then returned to Namrung and built a restaurant and hotel that is modern with Cappuccinos and WiFi. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 8: Trek from Namrung to Lho (2957m) 4 hrs.
Exploring the Tibet-influenced typical lifestyle you will walk past several mani walls, lush terraces and houses through Banjam to enter the fir, rhododendron and oak forest before climbing to Lihi then to Sho.You will notice some fine paintings in the Kani (gate arches) that you pass before Sho. Walking across the rocky hillside routes, you will finally reach Lho.FrOm this place, you can catch the stunning views of Manaslu (8163m) and Manaslu North (7157m).

Day 9: Trek from Lho to Sama Gong (3540m) 4 hrs
The next morning, you will start with a short trek, after crossing the Shyala village, we reach the Sama village where one gets to witness the amazing views of Mount Manaslu and explore the famous Ribung Gompa. The breathtaking view of the high mountains along with glaciers is the highlight of the trip. Sama Gaon has a large gompa, many shops, a health post, heliport and telephone/wifi access, etc. We stay in Samagaon for the night.

Day 10: Acclimatization Day – side trip to Pungyen Gompa, Manaslu Basecamp or Birendra Tal
This is the day of acclimatization at Sama Gaon to prevent altitude-related illness.  You will walk to Pungyen Gompa on the east of the Nubri Valley.At the hilltop; you will get the enticing views of Manaslu. Nearby, you will see many Himalayan Thars and Yaks grazing.
Or, you can hike to Manaslu Base Camp which is on the north of Sama Gong. You can follow the trail past Birendra Tal and turn left onto the base camp track. You will climb the steady trails, however, the altitude may cause breathing difficulty. So, you need to maintain body hydration and walk slowly.  Proceeding slowly, you will walk to the north of Manaslu glacier to basecamp at 4400m then return.
Or, you can hike to Birendra Tal, which is a short walk from Sama Gong.  This is an option if you feel the need for a rest or if you are finding the altitude difficulty.

Day 11: Trek from Sama Gong to Samdo 3865m 4 hrs
On this new day, you will have a short trek to Samdo.Once you reach at Samdo, you can explore the nearby villages or you can hike to Samdo Peak. The Larkya La trail is on the left above the valley. You can also see the main track for Tibet over the Larjyang La forming slopes on the Larkya La trail.Overnight at sanbo

Day 12: Acclimatization Day – side trip to Tibetan Border (5100)
Today, you will stop at Samdo for a day trip to the Tibetan border. From the border, you can also see parts of Tibet and Nepal. If lucky, you can also witness the Yak caravan passing the border.
Once at the border, if you look towards the south of Samdo Glacier you will get excellent photos with a huge serac near the top of the glacier. You can also frame Blue Sheep, Pica’s, and Marmots in season.

Day 13: Trek from Samdo to Dharamasala 4460m 4 hrs
This is another adventurous day in the high altitude. Enjoying the scenic views of the chain of Himalayas you will walk slowly across the rugged terrains of Manaslu region before you reach Dharmasala.

Day 14: Cross the Larke pass (5213m) trek down to Bimtang (3720 m).
You will walk to Larkya La Pass (5160m) on this day.This is the challenging part of the trek but if you walk steadily, you can walk to the pass successfully.You will catch views of Himlung (7126m) near Tibet and Kang Guru (6981m) and Annapurna II (7937m) in the Annapurna Range.
On descending, you will get views of huge icefalls and mountains in all directions, Pongkar Tal between the Pongkar and Salpudanda Glaciers.Overnight at teahouse.

Day 15: Trek from Bimthang to Tilije(2300m)6-7 hours
After enjoying the splendid views of the mountains from a ridge in Bhimtang, we make our way down towards a high pasture and then a bridge over Dudh Khola. We walk through rhododendron forests, narrow valleys and fields before making a climb to the river bank that leads to the village of Gho. A short walk takes us to Tilije with better accommodation options. Overnight at teahouse.

Day 16: Trek from Tilije to Tal (1,680m) 6 hours
In the morning we set on journey that starts climbing up the ridge. We walk along the path paved with stones that leads to a village. Further we exit the village through an arch shaped gate after crossing a suspension bridge over Dudh Khola. We observe mani walls as we aascend ahead to a village of Thonje. We cross security checkpoint at Dharapani which is a part of Annapurna Circuit section. We hike through Karte Village before we cross suspension bridge over Marshyangdi Khola several times. Further, we go ahead along the trail with mani walls before we arrive in Tal. Overnight stay in teahouse

Day 17: Trek from Tal to Syange (1,400m) 6 hours
In the morning once we walk down the gentle path and descend and again ascend until we get the view of Marshyangdi River. We cross a suspension bridge over the river before we reach a Chyamje village. The village is remarkably beautiful and peaceful. We enjoy the view of waterfalls as we advance. Overnight stay at teahouse in Syange

Day 18: Drive from Syange to Pokhara 6 hrs drive.
Today, you will drive back to Pokhara by private jeep for 6 hours. You will drive along the banks of Marsyangdi and Trishuli River, witnessing the beautiful scenery of rice fields, terraced farms, rivers and valleys and refreshing views of the hilly areas and mountains. Overnight at hotel in Pokhara.

Day 19:  Explore Pokhara
Today, we drive to Davi's fall and Gupteswor Mahadev Cave, after visiting both interesting places. Fewa Tal is today’s attraction. While boating, you will happen to see the image of the Fish tail Himal and it gives you a great sense of relaxation. At the middle of the Lake you will be landed on the island of the Barahi temple, which is the major attraction of the tour.

Day 20: Explore Pokhara
Today we will have an early morning Drive to Sarangkot to see Annapurna Mountain View:
From here you can see a panoramic sweep of Himalayan peaks, from Dhaulagiri (8167m) in the west to the perfect pyramid of Machhapuchhare (6997m) and the rounded peak of Annapurna II (7937m) in the east. At dawn and dusk, the sun picks out the peaks in brilliant colours.
There's another ruined fort at Kaskikot (1788m), a one-hour walk west of Sarangkot along the ridge road, with similarly jaw-dropping views.

Day 21: Explore day in Pookhara
In the morning after breakfast, we will go to world peace stupa by car. We can see panoramic view of high Himalayan range from Manaslu to Dhaulagiri range including Machhapuchhre and Annapurna Massif as well as scenic Pokhara Valley and Phewa Lake. Then, we will walk down to Phewa Lake through the forest which takes about 1 hour and take a boat to cross a Phewa Lake passing the small Island where Temple Barahi is situated middle of the Lake.

Day 22: Drive from Pokhara to Chitwan by tourist bus or private car (5 hrs drive)
Today you will drive from Pokhara to chitwan for 5 hrs. You will reach chitwan for 3 nights 4 days chitwan tour.

Day 23: Chitwan; Tharu cultural museum,village tour and  tharu dance presentation (which you will also participate in) by the local villagers.
You will have a village tour to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will learn more about the life and lifestyle of the Tharus. The locals from the nearby villages will show some of their traditional skills and dances inherited from their history.

Day 24: Chitwan; Canoe Ride/Boating + Visit to the Elephant breeding center in the region + Elephant bathing program + Sunset view/Riverside walk
You will have a Canoe ride or boating along the Rapti River.  You will get a lifetime excellent opportunity for Bird Watching and view of the 2 rare species of crocodiles; the Marsh Mugger and the fish eating Gharial. You will also have a elephant bathing programme. The guest can walk along the riverside and witness the magnificent view of the sunset in the evening with the beautiful backdrop of Rapti River.

Day 25: Chitwan; Jungle walk + Elephant Safari/Jeep Drive.
After having breakfast, you will have jungle walk with our expert guides. It will help you to observe the various wildlife and the birds from closer perspectives and hence will add to your knowledge and experience. The guests can choose to ride on elephant back or go for jeep safari to explore the jungle and wildlife. The guests can experience the spectacular views of the one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deer, monkeys, wild boar, bison, sloth bear, leopard and sometimes the Royal Bengal tiger. The elephant safari lasts for 2 hours whereas the jeep safari can last for 4-5 hours.

 Day 26: Drive from Chitwan to Kathmandu (7 hrs)
Today you will have a wakeup call and have your hot breakfast and drive towards Kathmandu by tourist bus or private car.

Day 27: Final International departure homeward bound.
Today, we will transfer you to Kathmandu international airport 3 hours before your flight by car. We pray for your good and safe journey.
